What do we like to eat?

Year 3 and 4 have been thinking about their favourite foods. Each child created a menu of the foods that they enjoy the most during each meal time. The menus will be swapped with The Daly College, so that we can then compare the food enjoyed in India with that in the UK.

Joint Child Rights Calendar

Year 3 and 4 have been thinking about child rights. The Daly College and Peel Hall are creating a joint calendar using posters that we made of the most important Child Rights.

Pen Pals

Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 all have a pen pal at Daly College. Today Year 4 wrote their own pen pal letters and made Christmas cards for their friends in India. These were put in the post, along with a CD of all their favourite Christmas songs. We can't wait to hear back from our new friends!

The Christmas Experience!

To help us with our work on the festivals of the UK, we spent some time at the local church, thinking about the Christmas story.

Festival Fun!

Year 4 have been thinking about festivals that we celebrate in the UK and India. Year 4 at Peel Hall put together Powerpoint Presentations and created a booklet of information about festivals such as Christmas, Easter, Shrove Tuesday, New Year and Bonfire Night. We shared these with our friends at Daly College, who did the same for the festivals of India. We really enjoyed comparing the celebrations of the two countries.
